The Gathering Storm
Across the green mountains
a soft breeze
effortlessly caresses
the trees bend and sway
a clarinet fugue
of whispering limbs
vibrating branches and leaves
high above
voluptuous maidens gather
crowding the
shimmering turquoise cathedral
enticing the sun
their dresses enflamed in the bright light
they move into
a slow exotic dance
spinning and swaying
like dervishes
they brush one another
with the softness of their translucent skins
embracing the expanding warmth
they grow in confidence and power
wild desire
flows through their
vaporous veins
in a tide
of untamed energy
they begin
rushing
thrusting
erupting
hungrily massaging
with insatiable
misty fingers
slipping and sliding
their bodies losing definition
as the sun’s penetrating heat
flows through them in
firey fractals
of
joyous ecstasy
into passionate combustion
unleashing booming sighs
they cry out
as bursts of silvery light
flow down
to the supple earth
all around
echoes of the ecstasy
burst through
until at last
an outpour loosens from their abdomens
releasing from their pregnant wombs
as their jeweled children
fall
in a discharge
of complete adoration
the rain pours upon me
and i smile and laugh
at the joy
and meandering beauty
of this presence
