Powerfully shared. I love what you wrote, depressing as it is. What you are pointing at is that all these issues, oppression violence didn't come out of nowhere. Our culture's roots are dysfunctional. Generally speaking, most people are stuck in their own inculturated conditioning without knowing it. This system is taught into us. I think about the impact of our educational system that is based on competition and grades instead of wonder, voice and interest that then pushes children to fall into our societal roles. We are taught to push our voice down, to ignore, and to create an artificial self to exist in this deeply dysfunticional world. I don't think that this violence is inherent in human nature. Indidginous cultures showed there are many different ways in which we can live with the planet and each other that is not violent. Is it possible for us to collectively wake up? What do you think?
