Beautifully written Trevor. Hahaha, I play basketball the way Russel played as a Laker. Aloof, friendly with all the players, laughing, joking. And enjoyed playing hard as well. But definitely not serious. I agree to to what Kerr said that basketball is a metaphor for life - as I think i live in that way too.
Vegan food bar companies!! Yes please!!!
I wonder about obsession... It is a human trait or a cultural trait? Is the want to obsess a way to try and compete in a highly competitive capitalistic system? Does this bring out our authenticity or mold us into a role in which brings more stress and anxiety?
Can we be creators without the obsessiveness? Flow in creativity? Nature flows with creativity, we are nature - maybe letting go to who we are, creativity flows on its own?
Loved the smaller pieces. Start small. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
I loved watching Joe Dumars play. I was a Laker fan in the 80's and Dumars was so frustrating as he was so relentless in his play and yet did it quietly. He reminds me of Barry Sanders in that way.
