Poetic Contemplations

i walk like mist

quiet and slow

I follow a gypsy stream

flowing over

glacial boulders and polished rocks

I walk into the wonder

of morning’s birth

while golden light

dances through emerald trees

and purple clouds dance

moored to the earth

i walk into the arc of presence

riddles speaking

of generations gone by

of living fountains

of microscopic swarms of life

fiddling beneath my feet

i walk

upon landscapes never explored

i walk into lands never seen or touched

present,

I am home

why wear a costume

why fall into fear

why conform

analyzing

you escape from being

wanting to control

to figure out your future

to control the external

enhances fear

and is an illusion

flow

just flow

be still

here with me

just be

for a moment

in awareness

observe

Now

Now

Now

That is all

that is it

time is the illusion

there is no gaining or getting better

see what is

and don’t escape

here

one enters into the

fullness of presence

here is where the healing is

where one sees

directly

that thoughts are not the self

that feeling into what is

is where one

discovers what lies underneath

be still

listen and burst through

and here

right here

freedom shines

brighter than all the stars

wholeness is

all lies connected

indra’s web

there lies no division

there is no reason to hide

where is there to hide

all is wholeness

grooving whole and alive

one listens

and

discovers what has

always flowed

freedom

and learning is everywhere

and one is in all

i stop

to watch the wind

blowing through

the wild old trees

brilliant white clouds

paint the glass sky

multi-faceted emerald

splashes across the mountains

infinite variations

texture life

in wonder

all is included

entering me

colors of

interwoven

filaments

flow in a waterfall of light

i peer around

silent

And

I listen in

Here

there is no inner or outer

Just raging isness

flowing with love

awakening lies in the quiet…..

it is not in chasing thought’s dreams

nor in desire or in

the endless searching of possessions

you can’t try to get at it

you can’t analyze to uncover it

it doesn’t lie in dogma

it lies nestled

deep

quiet

still

waiting for you to be still

— — -

you can’t buy peace

you can’t buy permanence

stand still for a moment

stop and wonder with me

have you ever asked

who the hell am I

to get underneath

to destroy

everything

you are not

for is it true

what you

believe or think

you are

or

is this merely multitudes of attachments

based on feeling separate

find out

rage into your chains

for nothing is holding you back

but you

And that is an illusion, too

present

open

nowhere to go

nowhere to be

one realizes

one has what one needs

in presence

allis

and is infinitely more powerful,

beautiful and meaningful

then all the possessions

and wealth of the world

standing at the edge

of myself

orange webs of light

stirred this

mornings birth

a heavy

blue gray fog

flowed

over the brown

swollen river

songs chimed from the water

chimed from the wind

chimed in gentle tides

flowing through by

the amphitheater of awareness

like rainbolic colors

of delight

upon the steep slope

trees rose in arching patterns

i savored the limber branches

reaching and arching,

stretching into the blue canopy

i dove into a falling poem

read over its burgundy veins

it’s orange summits

it’s mountainous symmetry

and explored this heaven

sounds of laughter

let go from the river

signs and visions welcome me

nothing could be caught and assimilated

standing there

Like an iridescent dragonfly

with god’s eyes

i stood dancing

alone with it
